We have a new feature for Association Members! Notice the new link below the firefighter on the top right of the main website pages. This link points to a members area which is currently evolving as an additional resource to our members. Currently we have several past issues of the association newsletter and some other additional resources for our members.

If you wish to use this feature, please e-mail us and provide us with your name and your requested password. We will set you up and respond when you are able to access this system. Feel free to include any other suggestions for this area as well.

The Broome County Firefighters' Association, Inc., is an organization of fire companies, both volunteer and career, located in Broome County New York.  The organization fosters cooperation and communication among fire companies, strives to keep firefighters and fire company officials informed and educated about a variety of aspects including education, training and legislation.  The organization also works to promote fire safety education and sponsors the Broome County Fire Safety Trailer. The association is dedicated to being the unified voice of firefighters and fire companies in Broome County.  To assist us in our goal, the Association publishes a bi-monthly newsletter, the Broome County "Fire News" which is sent out to all fire companies and members of the organization.  For information on joining, visit our membership page .

08-04-17 The training schedule for fall and winter 2017 is attached. There are a lot of good courses offered here, so please be sure to sign up right away if you are interested in a class. We have had to cancel some classes lately due to poor pre-registration and that could result in us losing training hours from the state, so please encourage everyone to sign up for classes. The schedule can also be found here

07-31-17 Binghamton Fire is hosting their 7th Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Sunday, September 17th at The State Office Building in Downtown Binghamton. 07-26-17 Fire companies invited to participate in 5 Mile Point Summer Games on August 20the 2017. For more information click here
07-24-17 Attached is information on a softball tournament to be held September 2. The tournament is to benefit the daughter of Nick Bixby who works in the jail. She suffered a below the knee amputation from a tragic accident. For more information and to fill out a registration form click here
05-30-17 Broome County is holding an ICS 300 class, September 5 thru Sept. 21, Tuesdays & Thursday, 6 pm, a total of six ( 6) nights. If there is anyone who needs this class, you should sign up now, as the class is already filling up fast. Sign up here
04-25-17 Fire companies are in need of volunteers! Stop in at your local fire station on Saturday, April 29, noon to 3 pm to find out how you can help
03-28-17 First responder training on dealing with Alzheimer’s patients is being held at Brookdale Vestal West, 421 Plaza Drive on Thursday, April 6, 1 to 4 pm Click here for additional details.

02-16-17 Rail Safety Emergency Response Training.  There will be six classes offered: Tuesday and Thursday, June 6 and 8, 8 am to noon or 1 pm to 5 pm,  and Wednesday June 7, 1 pm to 5 pm or 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Norfolk Southern Rail yard, 5 Holmes Place, Binghamton.  Click here for more information and registration form.
